After all the countless attempts to fill the void with trashy arcade games and poorly executed strategy games, I would never have expected my favorite game ever be a reading experience. This inspiring snapshot of interactive media. It looked thin at first glance but it was the best dollar I have spent in my life. A breath of the cleanest freshest air. What a work of art. My deepest thanks.

I dont know who is writing all these 5 star reviews. The game isnt alright but got bored of it after a couple of hours. Definitely not as magical and thought provoking as these reviews claim.

Fun game if stuck to the end. Would love if there was more plot however

I was looking for a good game , a game which I can return to and find myself on for awhile , when looking through the apps , I decided to get it and I thought it was going to be like all the other games , but it isnt , there is always something to do, and I never have seen a end like that, to where the creator leaves something behind as to heartfelt things ... Truly amazing

this app is very complicated and is hard to follow, which direction do you read? whats the flash that keeps happening? how is this fun?

This game seemed so simple at the beginning. But then, after playing it for a couple of minutes I was interested. Then, I was amazed. And then, well... there is no word to describe how good this game is. It is my favorite experience. Its so complex but so simple. The graphics arent amazing but they dont need to be. Also, the amount of help the dev has given, is amazing. All and all, this game/experience is amazing beyond words.

"A Dark Room" has to single-handedly be one of the best games to download. At first when I started playing it I thought I paid for a junk game, but little did I know it would turn out to be one of the best games ever. To anyone reading this, this game is one of the best games ever. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. This app deserves to be rated more than 5 stars.

I love this game. Its so hard to describe to someone what this game is all about but its so much fun. Simple but really great. Well done!

This game was amazing. The first thought I had while playing this was the similarities to Candy Box 2, a very cool game with the same kind of style. Its extremely interesting, and since there are almost no graphics, the entire world is left up to you. DEFINITELY worth the price, and I would recommend this to pretty much everyone.

I thoroughly enjoyed A Dark Room and did so my first time without building huts. It took a while, but was worth it.

As much as the game itself messes with your head, its equally appreciated that when you reach the conclusion of your journey, there are some wonderful commentaries from the developers of the app and the original game that just give you a much deeper understanding and appreciation for the whole experience. It even provides a link link for the prequel (that I just bought), that after finishing this game, you simply cannot not have. But ONLY play the prequel after A Dark Room. Its for your own good. Anyway, this game is an incredible experience and I would very very highly recommend you give it a shot. By the end, you will believe it should be worth more than ninety-nine cents, trust me.
